I am currently sitting in my computer science lecture. and my list of things to do outside of that really only consist of getting new acoustic guitar strings.
the reason I mentioned Mark Haddon is because he wrote this really fantastic book called the curious incident of the dog in the night-time.
which is a story written in the point of view of a 15-year-old British boy who has some kind of developmental problem. his father and mother are no longer together, and the book he is writing was actually supposed to be a murder mystery novel. but it turns out to be a really captivating novel about more than just the murder of a dog named Wellington.
I guess what I'm really trying to say is that I'm re-evaluating what I would like to write/do over the summer. first, as you know, I had the miniseries. but that doesn't appear to be very plausible. then I was toying with writing how I would like the script to be for Deathly Hallows (and I determined that's a little too selfish). and now I think I'm going to turn the curious incident of the dog in the night-time into a screenplay, and perhaps film a few scenes from it.
I suppose we'll see how it goes.
as you may presently be already in accordance of awareness... my grammar sucks.
yeah. not the way it was said in Family Guy... but I'm sure you can deal with that.
so the progress on said film has been... minimal at best. I don't want to blame it solely on writer's block. though I'm sure that's a contributing factor, it's not the only one. the other ones probably include laziness, and procrastination... among other legitimate reasons.
this is not to say that the idea has completely been scrapped. logistically, I'm still trying to work it out. which is the good thing about being in pre-production... because it might not get past this stage.
anyway, I'm going back to school tomorrow and then class will start again on monday, so looking forward to that.
I spent five days at the cottage, and I was sick for two and a half of them.
that is all.
it is nice to hear from you again. honsestly. that's nice to hear. I think.
anyway, writer's block has hit me for the miniseries. if ANYONE has any ideas, for gawd's sake, tell me... oh... I guess it would be nice if you knew what I was planning.
okay, well, I'll post that when I get home.
until then. it's Wii time.

as I said the other day, I was planning on posting some character sketches. there are currently three that are complete: one male, two female. I tried to be as detailed as I could.
if, in the event you are interested in one of the characters, by all means leave a comment with (at least) your name and email.
without further ado, let's get started...( Skylar LarsonCollapse )( Darcy Lynn SimmonsCollapse )( Charlie LacroixCollapse )
I guess as soon as I work out some details, I can start putting up possible plot-points and such.
thanks for your time.
also, I'm going to post some character bases. if anyone likes where they're going, feel free to design a character off of them. or ask me to do it for you (keep in mind I will give it a name if you don't).
bytheby, Andrew wrote himself a character already, who I haven't included for he is currently busy and cannot get me the full sketch as of now. thank you.
oh, and I'm including the bases I wasn't originally expecting to use... just in case someone else thinks of something. (they're general, nothing extremely specific).( the last of 'emCollapse )
script writing has begun for a film inspired by the Resident Evil series. character sketches are in the process, and people are needed. actors (main and background), techies, producers, make-up, etc etc.
anyway, that's my exciting news for now.
outside of that, I must start studying for my exam on thursday. I'm not expecting anything amazingly difficult. brief theatre history, some wardrobe knowledge, and other then that it's reflection questions. can't really study for that.
my audition for UTM is february 23rd. so I should get memorizing and such. have yet to hear from Ryerson... so... what... anyway, that's all for that.
Andrew and I are going to Poughkeepsie over the summer. quite fascinating, I know. I mainly wanted to go to get an iMac... but I've been watching the dollar, and the Canadian dollar is going down again... depending on how far down it goes, it may not even make a difference if I buy it here or there. but I still want to go.
catching a train to Poughkeepsie.
commercials are making less and less sense. odd? no. maybe? depends.
um. I could start posting character sketches... but I'm afraid that would be useless, seeing as I have no friends.
Good morning, world!
I'm sitting in front of Aldo right now, waiting for my manager to arrive... she should be here soon, then I can get this wretched day on the go. And hopefully over with befor I know it.
Anyway, today's agenda includes:
-watch Rachel's soccer 7-9
-squeeze in some time for the Green Bean
-hopefully some homework
I was actually hoping on getting at least one rough draft completed for Tuesday for peer editing. Well, we're supposed to have one done for Tuesday anyway.
Hmm.. I wonder if she's waiting for me somewhere? That happened once. But I usually just wait in front of the store because that's what I'm used to doing.
Oh, I almost forgot, I'm extending my thanks to Andrew for designing me this new layout. Yeah, my other one wasn't working with Safari, so I needed a new one. I think it turned out nice... what with the RE5 header and all. Kinda dark and dismal, as opposed to my romanticized one before... oh well. Contrast is good sometimes.
So, I'm still waiting. I think it's been 15 minutes since I got here. Which as 8:15, so that means pretty soon, she's gonna be late. And I can't get into the store... and I have no ride home. Oh! Is that her? I think it is... she's walking this way, that means it's probably her.
We are in the Computer labs for Drama.
I am currently supposed to be looking up info for a Canadian playwright by the name of Sally Clark. Who happened to write a play called Moo. And I haven't read it yet, but I'm greatly looking forward to it.
The problem with researching this apparent "Sally Clark" is that there's a woman in England who killed her two infant sons, and her name is also Sally Clark. So I'd search the name, and related results would include subjects such as "Infants -- DEATH" or "Sudden Infant Death Syndrome". I don't want to read about exploding fetuses! Not at this time.
And people are apparently disabled at printing. It's pretty straight forward. When your print settings say that it's sending your document to an "Image Viewer" rather then a real printer... chances are, your document is not going to print.
Mostly on account of you suck.
Anyway, I should just about sign off now. GOOD DAY....
